Description: |
| This position will serve as a representative of the Institution responsible for advising undergraduate and graduate students regarding admissions and degree completion requirements, as well as enrolling students for the institution’s graduate, undergraduate and certificate programs This position requires confidence, resilience, strong organizational and communication skills, exceptional persistence, a high level of commitment, and the ability to guide and motivate others. |
Duties: |
• Follow up with inquiries on a continuous basis by phone and/or written correspondence
• Able to spend a substantial amount of time on the telephone on a daily basis attempting to contact potential students
• Provide administrative support for the program in recruiting students as well as academic/transfer advising
• Follows Lead Policy in working with prospective students
• Provide guidance and assistance through registration and admission
• Maintain high level of customer service and student retention
• Work with other Institution departments to ensure the prospective student has the best experience throughout the enrollment process
• Work diligently to meet the Institution’s enrollment goals
• Provide exceptional student services and communicate the mission and values of the Institution

Qualifications: |
SKILLS
• Must possess a general knowledge of higher education market and industry
• Must possess a general understanding of business, education, and technology, programs of study
• Must be results oriented and have the ability to perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively
• Must possess a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to accurately convey Institution information
• Must have a working knowledge of personal software packages in order to perform enrollment functions
• Innovative; ability to develop strategies and generate new leads
• Strong phone skills
• Positive attitude and a high level of energy and enthusiasm
• Must be able to demonstrate skill and ability in the Enrollment Counselor learning objectives and training proficiencies as set forth
EDUCATION/TRAINING
• Associate degree required, Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum two (2) years sales and customer service entailing one-on-one interaction
• Proven success in delivering exceptional customer service and achieving goals
• Prior experience working in Higher Education is a plus
