The Minster Machine Company, a 100 + year old manufacturer is renowned for its precision metal forming equipment has openings for skilled machinists within its Machining and Fabrication Division. Skilled machinists for Minster will work in an engineered to order "job shop" environment in which our core products our made one at a time requiring many set ups and holding close tolerances on a variety of machining equipment.  Machinists are responsible for all manufacturing activities required to support the needs of the Customer.  Customer focus, flexibility, commitment to task, initiative all with a positive attitude are examples of the behavioral traits of a Machinist.  Technical abilities such as the ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and maintain tolerances less than .001" using a variety of measuring instruments (micrometers, indicators, etc.), machinist tools and various assembly tools.  Machinists may be expected to simultaneously operate multiple machines and/or perform multiple tasks, including deburr and other finishing processes.  Machinists will be responsible for assembly and disassembly as may be required.  CNC skills are highly desirable.

Duties:

• Safely operate cell machines and related equipment to accomplish the required operations in the cell.
• Machine setup,  tool setting,  loading and unloading fixtures and tools,  deburring
• Inspection of cell products,  material movement associated with the cell
• Direct customer contact may be required at times
• Preventive maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Specialized training such as a JVS or tech school a plus
• Ability to read complex engineering drawing and work in close tolerances.
• Must be able to operate CNC and manual machining equipment
• Ability to program CNC equipment a plus.
• A manufacturing background in a "job shop" environment preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
