Description: |
- Responsible for the cleaning and servicing of all revenue vehicles on a daily basis to maintain the image of Metro as clean and reliable transportation.
|
Duties: |
- Enforce safety and security regulations, as well as, compliance to Metro's policies and procedures.
- Confer with customers, supervisors, contractors, and other personnel to exchange information and to resolve problems.
- Responsible for fostering good Labor and Management relations.
- Recommend and implement measures to improve worker motivation, equipment performance, work methods, and customer services.
- Recommend or implement personnel actions such as employee selection, evaluation, and rewards or disciplinary actions.
- Requisition needed personnel, supplies, equipment, parts, or repair services.
- Inspect or test materials, stock, vehicles, equipment, and facilities to ensure that they are safe, free of defects, and meet specifications.
- Adhere to proper preventative maintenance schedules and practices of all vehicles and other equipment.
- Schedule work, assign responsibilities, provide daily oversight of daily operation at both division.
- Evaluate and improve work practices, work flow, and equipment.
- Develop and update performance objectives and budgets. Track budget and report on any variances.
- Provide and/or input information to the maintenance management system.
- Facilitate resolution of grievances. Hear and answer First Step grievances.
- Facilitate the development of strategies to meet or exceed organizational and department performance goals and objectives, monitor results, and recognize employee, department and organization accomplishments.

Qualifications: |
- Associate's Degree (two year college or technical school).
- Five years supervisory experience.
- Experience as a service employee is a plus, but not required.
- Working knowledge of procurement/inventory system, payroll and timekeeping applications, internet, email, and applications for word processing and spreadsheets. As well as working knowledge of a maintenance management program and employee time keeping program.
- Working knowledge of coach technology and coach maintenance.
- Must be able to pass A-Rate level of the Mechanical Aptitude Test.
