General Summary
Installers are responsible for exterior and interior television and data installations, between system and customer equipment in residential dwellings and/or commercial properties
|
Duties: |
JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Complete disconnects, downgrades and non-pay disconnects.
Complete installations, reconnects and upgrades.
Complete pre-wires, post-wires and apartments box installations.
Use of VOM, SLM, drill, toner and various other hand tools.
Certify as a pole climber with climbers and ladders.
Understand and practice safety policies and use safety equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair from tap to TV.
Perform tap audits.
Bury underground drop with a shovel.
Other functions that may be assigned.

Qualifications: |
High School diploma or equivalent.
Strong computer knowledge.
Knowledge of basic electricity/electronics
Ability to work well in a customer service environment
Ability to effectively operate small hand tools including electric hammer, drills, crimpers, and wrenches
Familiarity with Internet services.
Must possess a valid drivers license and a satisfactory driving background.
Basic knowledge of converters, VCRs, TVs, A/B Switches and their various configurations.
Planning and organizational skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with personnel at all levels.
Ability to communicate with customers effectively.
Ability to follow guidelines, policies and procedures from Inter Media Manuals.
Successful results on a drug test and background check.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to regularly left up to 75 lbs.
Ability to regularly work at heights of at least 40
Ability to regularly handle a 28 (min.) portable ladder
Ability to regularly climb utility poles (including the use of pole climbers (gaffs), pole steps and portable ladders)
Have the ability to push, pull, bend, lift, dig, crawl, stoop, stand, squat, kneel and occasionally work in confined spaces
Work outside throughout the year in a variety of weather conditions, including temperature extremes
