Position: Director of Safety & Compliance
Lead & Develop CDL Trucking Company's Safety, Compliance, & Training Program, including formal & informal safety meetings; on-the-road & online driver training; dash camera & video coaching systems; and ELD oversight
Management & auditing of CDL driver compliance & records required by DOT, FMCSRs, & company
Hiring, disciplinary, and remedial action decision-maker relating to all safety-related issues and events
Supervision of safety managers & other personnel, & other duties customary in a trucking safety & compliance position
Qualifications and Skills required:
Exceptional communication & conflict resolution skills, with detail-oriented and organized approach
Minimum 10 years verifiable experience as a trucking safety professional having substantial knowledge of DOT/FMCSRs, Class A CDL driver requirements, and current trucking safety technologies & best practices
Salary commensurate with experience & qualification; benefits include options for health care, vision & dental, 401-K, and bonus program. Midwest Logistics Systems may modify the duties/requirements of Director of Safety & Compliance at any time.
