Nurse Practitioner (Part-Time) - Looking for an FNP or Adult NP to work in a Behavioral Health Setting / Developmental Setting!
Pay Rate: Starting at 85.00 per hour depending on experience
Schedule: 8–16 hours per week, with flexibility up to 24 hours. 1st shift, flexible scheduling available. - Long term contract likely! At least 6 months!
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a part-time basis. This role involves providing advanced nursing care, developing and implementing patient care plans, and ensuring high-quality clinical services in accordance with Ohio Board of Nursing guidelines. The position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to work in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Clinical Duties
- Create and implement patient care plans while performing advanced nursing duties.
- Monitor progress and intervene in chronic illness management.
- Conduct routine physical exams and diagnose new conditions.
- Evaluate, prescribe, and administer treatments for acute and chronic conditions.
- Perform minor surgical procedures as competency allows.
- Order and review diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging.
- Provide vaccinations and preventative care.
- Coordinate discharge planning and follow-up care.
- Assess need for referrals to internal or external providers.
Medical Records & Documentation
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters.
- Record assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care in compliance with agency and professional standards.
- Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) or equivalent on quality oversight.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide clinical direction to nursing staff and other caregivers.
- Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff on health maintenance and risk factors.
- Participate in professional and agency meetings, committees, and quality improvement initiatives.
Professional Development
- Attend in-services, quarterly medical meetings, and continuing education to support growth and clinical competency.
Qualifications
- Current NP License in Ohio.
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Certification and valid certificate of authority from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, state/federal healthcare policies, and nursing procedures.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and medical equipment.
