Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Industrial Painter for our client. This position involves preparing and painting industrial equipment and parts, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to safety and process standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with airless spray systems, surface preparation, and reading blueprints to identify and protect unpainted surfaces.What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying appropriate primers
- Refer to prints to determine surfaces to leave bare. Cover bare surfaces and holes using tape, plugs, bolts etc.
- Thin paint with chemical thinner to appropriate consistency
- Position parts on racks, pallets and hangers
- Apply paint using various methods including airless paint spraying
- Operate and maintain painting equipment, tools and booth
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
- Work on a variety of projects including industrial equipment painting
- Assemble and fabricate parts as needed for painting processes
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accuracy in painting tasks
- Monitor levels of filters and consumables in paint area and report for reordering
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- Previous experience in industrial painting
- Proficiency in using hand tools and painting equipment
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments for accurate work
- Experience with crane operation is a plus
- Ability to recognize machined areas in drawings to cover prior to painting.
- Ability to use a forklift to move and lift heavy parts for painting
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
