Job Summary:

The Plastic Pressroom Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining plastic molding and pressroom equipment to ensure efficient and high-quality production. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate plastic molding and pressroom machinery according to established procedures and safety standards.
• Load raw materials into equipment and monitor production to maintain proper flow and product quality.
• Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet quality and specification requirements.
• Adjust machine settings to maintain optimal performance and output.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and report mechanical or production issues to supervisors or maintenance staff.
• Record production counts, scrap, downtime, and material usage accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all housekeeping and safety guidelines.
• Assist with machine setup, changeovers, and equipment cleaning.
• Follow all company policies, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, safety guidelines, and production documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced production setting.
• Exposure to heat, noise, and moving machinery.
• Required use of PPE (such as gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection).
