Job Description

Job Description

Stronghouse Counseling in Richfield, Ohio is looking to contract with a fully Licensed Mental Health Therapist. The therapist hired will be independent(1099), working with in-person clients, and have their own space in a unique, tranquil, and retreat like setting. The right therapist for our practice will receive top of the field pay with a fee for service (cash pay) clientele – we do not accept insurance. Stronghouse Counseling is a boutique practice – with a husband-and-wife team and one other online therapist. We are not looking to expand in a manner that will compromise the personal touch that a small, family owned, and boutique practice can provide. In time we will be looking to hire an integrated health professional MD/Functional Medicine and become Stronghouse Counseling, Coaching, and Wellness. Stronghouse Counseling is a specialty practice with focus areas of marriage and relationships, parent coaching, anxiety, and depression. Please see our website at Stronghousecounseling.com to see who we are, our philosophy, and our vision as therapists – we believe that vision is foundational to helping clients, and we are committed to that vision ourselves at a disciplined level.

We will be accepting cover letters+resumes through December 10th , 2025. Interviews will take place through the month of December -with a projected start date January 12th, 2026. Our ideal candidate is fully licensed, has completed a minimum of Gottman Level II training (or willingness to obtain) , and has experience with and a passion for couple’s work. Training and/or familiarity with Imago therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, positive psychology, logotherapy, and family systems approaches to helping clients is a plus given the Stronghouse philosophy of care. The therapist will see 15 or more clients per week - as caseload builds.

If interested – please send a cover letter and resume to mmcclenahan@stronghousecounseling.com and amcclenahan@stronghousecounseling.com

We look forward to hearing from you,

Matt and Angie McClenahan
