Duties
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and vital signs.
- Perform dental cleanings and apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide tailored home care instructions.
- Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation review and medical coding as necessary.
- Utilize dental software systems ... Eaglesoft.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols within the clinic.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques to provide optimal patient care.
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Experience in general dentistry is preferred.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, dental terminology, and infection control practices.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
