- Certified by one of the following:

- NHA
- AMT
- AAMA
- NCCT
- Manager is willing to consider candidates who are not certified, as long as they are willing to obtain certification within 6 months of starting.
PLUSES:
- Outpatient experience
- Experience with Epic
- Familiarity with MyChart
Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will support the internal medicine provider by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient patient care and office operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Management: Assist in managing the provider's patient schedule, including rooming patients and preparing them for examinations.
- Vital Signs: Measure and record patients' vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- EKGs: Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) as ordered by the provider.
- Injections and Vaccines: Administer injections and vaccines following the provider's instructions and protocols.
- Charting: Accurately document patient information, medical histories, and treatment plans in electronic health records (EHR) – MyChart & Epic.
- Patient Education: Provide patients with information about their conditions, treatments, and follow-up care.
- Clinical Support: Assist with minor procedures, prepare and maintain examination rooms, and ensure all medical equipment is sterilized and ready for use.
