A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A FIELD ENUMERATOR
In this Field Enumerator position, you play a crucial role in serving our agricultural producers by providing reliable, accurate, and objective statistics and information that farmers, ranchers, and rural communities depend on. You actively interview farmers, ranchers, and other agricultural businesses either in person or on the phone. At times, you travel to designated fields in order to perform crop counts. After gathering all your information, you maintain and deliver detailed and legible records of the interviews, crop counts, mileage, expenditures, and your hours worked.
You conduct your enumerator work from a residence with an operable telephone free from any distractions. By maintaining a personal vehicle, you are always ready to travel in order to perform your field enumerator duties. Position Overview
Trim&nbsp;and remove&nbsp;trees, remove unwanted,&nbsp;diseased or dying limbs on trees, or to affect the health and safety of trees or surrounding areas&nbsp;by performing the following duties.&nbsp;
Job Duties
What You’ll Do:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for clients.&nbsp;</li>
<li>&nbsp;Including but not limited to: &nbsp;</li>
<li>Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy&nbsp;</li>
<li>Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems &nbsp;</li>
<li>Removal of hazardous trees&nbsp;</li>
<li>Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.&nbsp;</li>
</ul>

Qualifications
What We’re Seeking:&nbsp;
<ul>
<li>Love of the outdoors&nbsp;</li>
<li>Preferred: Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire&nbsp;</li>
<li>Ability to complete the Davey First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire &nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Preferred: Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law &nbsp;</li>
</ul>
