The Catholic Club is a non-profit educational child care and family center dedicated to providing quality services to families and children. We are open to everyone and strive to create a welcoming environment that promotes learning, growth, and community engagement.
Summary
We are seeking Lifeguards and Swim Instructors to join our team at the Catholic Club. In this role, you will be responsible for teaching swimming skills to children of various ages and abilities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment.
We have openings for swim instructors/lifeguards for children ages 3 - 12 in our indoor heated pool.
You must have a lifeguard certificate including CPR/First Aid
Experience teaching swim lessons a plus.
Summer seasonal hours available as well as year round part time hours.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct swim lessons for children of all skill levels.
- Ensure the safety of all participants in and around the pool area.
- Monitor pool activities and enforce safety rules and regulations.
- Provide basic swim instruction, focusing on technique and water safety.
- Perform CPR and first aid as needed in emergency situations.
- Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning as required.
- Engage with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress.
Requirements
- Current lifeguard certification
- CPR and First Aid certification
- Experience in teaching swimming or working with children preferred.
- Strong swimming skills with the ability to demonstrate techniques effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children and parents.
