Position Overview
Located on a scenic lake in Central Ohio, this private club has proudly served its membership for
more than 100 years. The club offers a relaxed yet refined atmosphere in which members enjoy
waterfront recreation, social events, and lakefront dining. Rooted in tradition but committed to
continuous improvement, the club is seeking an experienced General Manager who will uphold its
legacy of exceptional service while guiding operations with a modern, professional approach.
Essential Responsibilities
• Provide executive leadership for all club operations, restaurant, bar, and event services.
• Work on the floor to ensure proper service execution and consistent food quality.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a dedicated staff committed to exemplary service.
• Maintain financial oversight, including budgeting, cost control, inventory management, and
cash-handling procedures.
• Ensure all club facilities, kitchens, and dining operations meet the highest standards of safety,
sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain a culture of gracious hospitality and personalized service consistent with private
club traditions.
• Support member satisfaction, engagement, and retention efforts.
• Initiate, promote, and assist menu changes and new events to increase member attendance.
Qualifications & Experience
• A minimum of 5 years of senior management experience within a private club or full-service
dining environment.
• Thorough knowledge of food and beverage operations.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire, train, and develop staff at all levels.
• Professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and a member-first mindset
appropriate for a private club setting.
