Position Overview:As a Restaurant Server, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to provide courteous, efficient, and attentive service while ensuring that guests feel welcome and comfortable throughout their visit.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet guests warmly and professionally, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and dietary accommodations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them effectively to the kitchen and bar staff.
- Serve food and drinks promptly, ensuring proper presentation and quality.
- Monitor tables to anticipate guests' needs, refilling beverages, and addressing any issues promptly.
- Process payments, handle cash, and operate a point-of-sale (POS) system with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining areas, including resetting tables for the next guests.
- Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service and exceptional guest experiences.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Server in a full-service restaurant
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing exceptional service.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Strength Demands:
- Regular lifting, moving and carrying of food items, furniture, garbage etc. weighing up to 30 pounds across the restaurant
- Regular and prolonged standing and walking inside and outside the restaurant during a 6-8 hour shift with appropriate breaks
- Regular ascending/descending stairs
- Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Frequent use of hand to finger motions, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms
