Job Description

The Bug Company is seeking an Egg Production Team Member to join our production team. This full-time, on-site role involves caring for and feeding live insects. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and comfortable working in a physically demanding environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Receiving the insect Eggs
• Growth Cycle and Care of Insect Eggs
• Monitor and maintain the health and environment of insect populations daily.
• Feedings and watering insects daily
• Set up, clean, and maintain rearing facilities and equipment.
• Conduct routine checks to ensure habitats are secure and stable.
• Follow all safety guidelines for handling insects and equipment.

Requirements

• Reliability in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Professional, cooperative attitude with colleagues and supervisors.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and take on additional responsibilities.
• Comfortable working in dusty, hot, and humid environments.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, and standing.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Basic math skills (including counting to 100).
• Skilled with tools such as box cutters and tape guns.
• Must be willing and able to handle live insects directly.

Schedule

• Sunday - Thursday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM *Hours may vary depending on company needs and shipping schedules.
