PPS is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Specialist for our production facility in Parma! This position will verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepare items for shipment while maintaining quality and productivity standards
This is a full-time permanent position with excellent benefits including cash bonuses and an on-site gym, and high potential for growth and advancement!
Responsibilities:
• Studies Work Orders, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments and shipping methods to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
• Enters Data in the System as events transpire to ensure Accuracy and Real Time Information regarding Status of Materials Received, Finished Goods on Hand and Product Shipments
• Determines product identification, accuracy and completeness of data and labeling requirements
• Inspects loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and seals loaded truck doors.
• Directs movement of incoming and outgoing shipping and receiving to designated storage and work areas
• Tracks records of unfilled orders.
• Posts weight and shipping charges.
• Prepares bills of lading

• Strong internal customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills, excellent follow through • Excellent project management and organizational skills, and proven ability to manage many multiple priorities and projects • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of internal audiences. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks on time • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with an ERP a plus.
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior experience in a shipping and receiving environment preferred but not necessary.
