Title of Position: Area Director of Sales


Job Description: As the Area Director of Sales for our hotel complex in Ohio, you will play a crucial role in leading sales efforts and driving revenue for multiple properties. On a day-to-day basis, your responsibilities will include developing and implementing the Annual Business Plan with General Manager, identifying new business opportunities through cold calls and industry networking, maximizing hotel occupancy and revenue through participation in weekly Revenue Management Meetings, training and motivating a high-performing sales team, analyzing market trends to optimize profitability, maintaining a strong presence within the community through industry events and organizations, and directly engaging with key accounts. You will also collaborate with other departments to create targeted promotional strategies and ensure consistent brand messaging. Also, you will be able to take care of regular sales performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to enhance team effectiveness.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Director of Hotel Sales role with a proven track record of achieving sales goals

· MARRIOTT Experience required-familiar with Marriott systems and standards

· A familiarity with hotel operations systems and sales CRMs is required

· Willingness to work full-time with on-call availability, including weekends as needed. Local travel is required

· Ability to directly engage with the community, requiring strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
