We're looking to add a Greenhouse Worker to our staff. This position is essential as a role that helps to grow and ensure optimum quality of product for our customers
Here's some of the responsibilities you can expect in this role on a daily basis:
- Maintain a thorough understanding and knowledge of products, sizing, packaging, and quality.
- Assist the Grower with duties in other areas as requested.
- Harvest products according to customer specifications and food safety procedures. Communicate potential shortages or overages of product to Grower.
- Follow procedures and instructions for seeding, watering, fertilizing, spraying, pruning, deadheading, transferring, and moving flats and plants. Assist the Grower with monitoring plant health.
- Follow all food safety program procedures and guidelines.
- Assist in areas of the Packing Room in order to complete the tasks necessary on an as needed basis.
- Maintain a positive work environment with clear and friendly communication.
- Keep work area clean, neat and safe. Complete reports for safety and other operational issues.
- Perform any other duties necessary to meet job responsibilities.
