About the Role:

Dip Spin / Plating Operator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our service delivery within the Other Services industry. This position is responsible for maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in all tasks related to line operations. The successful candidate will collaborate with team members to optimize processes and enhance customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role involves troubleshooting issues that may arise during service delivery, ensuring that solutions are implemented swiftly and effectively. Ultimately, the Line 4 position contributes significantly to the overall success and reputation of our organization by delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coating systems, excellent attention to detail, and a passion for quality and process improvement.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required

  • Diploma or certificate in a related technical field preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in a related field in a technical capacity but not required

  • Experience with coating or plating systems is preferred but not required

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or TS16949 standards

  • Computer literate

  • Highly motivated and organized

  • Forklift experience of 1+ years

  • Able to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team

  • Reliable transportation (personal vehicle required)

  • Excellent attendance record

  • Able to pass a drug screen during the 90-day probationary period and any subsequent random tests per company policy

General Responsibilities

  • Understand and apply the company’s Quality Policy as it relates to your role

  • Understand your internal “customer” and how your work affects them

  • Read, understand, and follow all quality alerts

  • Use proper safety equipment and follow safety protocols

  • Identify and separate non-conforming parts using proper tagging procedures

Job-Specific Duties

  • Monitor and maintain all E-Coat line parameters (voltage, pH, temperature, conductivity, etc.)

  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on E-Coat equipment (pumps, filters, rectifiers, agitators)

  • Perform chemical titrations and maintain chemical balance in tanks

  • Inspect parts before and after coating for adhesion and coverage

  • Keep accurate records of production data, chemical levels, and maintenance activity

  • Collaborate with quality and production teams to address coating issues

  • Respond to quality alerts by adjusting system settings or chemical levels

  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the E-Coat area

  • Support continuous improvement projects and initiatives

  • Assist with training of new team members on procedures and safety standards

  • Crosstrain in other departments
