Manage shipping and receiving operations within a custom manufacturing environment

Verify incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading, invoices, and orders

Count, weigh, or measure items to ensure accuracy and compliance

Prepare items for shipment using proper containers, padding, spacers, and fillers

Determine appropriate shipping methods based on procedures, routes, and rates
-
Label, stencil, stamp, or mark cartons and crates with required shipping information
-
Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards

Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
-
Operate lift trucks or hand trucks to move and stage shipments as needed
-
Utilize strong computer, organizational, and communication skills with the intent to grow into departmental leadership
