Schedule: Weeknights (Monday – Thursday) | 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM - Friday Optional OT
Position Type: Full-Time -Direct HireSalary: $24/hr + 10% Shift Differential - $26.40/hr
Position OverviewReporting to the Production Manager, the Chemical Plant Operator will support manufacturing activities at the company’s primary facility in Medina, OH. This position is responsible for assisting with mixing/blending materials, operating process equipment, recording production data, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The operator must follow all Standard Operating Procedures and comply with regulatory, safety, and environmental guidelines always.Key Responsibilities
- Assist with mixing and blending of raw materials.
- Fill, label, and prepare drums/totes and other bulk containers.
- Operate process equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist with unloading rail cars and tank wagons.
- Operate a forklift to stage and move materials (training available if needed).
- Complete production and quality control reporting accurately and on time.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in production and storage areas.
- Perform scheduled cycle counts and inventory checks.
- Follow all safety procedures including use of PPE and safe handling of chemicals (MSDS knowledge).
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s Degree a plus).
- Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience (chemical plant environment preferred).
- Must have effective verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Must be able to work night shift and overtime as needed.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing environment (inside and outside conditions).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull heavy drums (up to 440+ lbs with assist).
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to climb, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks.
