Job Title: Chemist (Rotational shift)
Client: Food Manufacturing Company
Duration: 6 Months (with possible extension)
Location: Dayton, OH 45414
Shift: 12-hour Rotating Shift Schedule
- Week 1: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
- Week 2: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Wednesday, Thursday
- Schedule repeats every 2 weeks
- Shifts rotate monthly between Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) and Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Job Summary
The Chemist will ensure products meet or exceed customer requirements for quality and food safety. This role involves monitoring quality assurance systems, supporting production operations, and applying scientific knowledge to maintain compliance and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain quality assurance systems (calibration, testing, raw materials, methods, SOPs).
- Apply basic understanding of plant processes to support quality and food safety.
- Provide technical advice to production teams to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Minimize process variation, reduce waste, and support cost-saving initiatives.
- Contribute to training and continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Chemistry OR 4–5 years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as per rotating shift schedule.
- Must successfully complete background check and drug test.
