What You’ll be doing as a Diesel Mechanic:
<ul>
<li>Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on all types of diesel and trailing equipment.</li>
<li>Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, issues, performing repairs as needed.</li>

What You’ll be doing as a Diesel Mechanic:

<li>Supervise shift mechanics by assigning tasks, verifying completed work, and assisting with training and disciplinary actions as needed.</li>
<li>Authorize and oversee after-hours repairs in alignment with company policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Manage parts inventory using TMT, including ordering, receiving, and tracking of parts and supplies.</li>
<li>Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and full-service repairs on heavy-duty vehicles and trailers, including work on brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, diesel engines, electrical systems, and welding/fabrication tasks.</li>
<li>Remove, repair, reinstall, and adjust vehicle components; conduct thorough final inspections to ensure all repairs meet federal and state safety regulations.</li>
<li>Complete detailed work orders and maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.</li>
<li>Respond to on-site service calls and provide support as needed.</li>
<li>Collaborate with technicians and provide guidance on complex repairs and troubleshooting.</li>
<li>Open and close the maintenance facility, ensuring readiness and security of operations.</li>

Whiteline Express is seeking a highly skilled and dependable Field Service - Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role involves traveling to customer locations to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Receive work assignments and customer schedules from the General Manager.</li>
<li>Perform scheduled and on-demand maintenance, repairs, and diagnostic services on diesel trucks, trailers, and equipment.</li>
<li>Communicate professionally with customers regarding job progress, estimated completion times, and service details.</li>
<li>Provide timely updates to the General Manager regarding job status and any changes to the schedule.</li>
<li>Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service truck at all times.</li>
<li>Stock and manage daily inventory, tools, and all required documentation in the service truck (candidate must supply their own tools).</li>
<li>Operate the service vehicle safely and in full compliance with traffic laws and safety standards.</li>

Qualifications:
<ul>
<li>Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel truck and trailer maintenance, repair, and diagnostics.</li>
<li>DOT Inspection Certification and Air Brake Certification required.</li>
<li>Must be capable of supplying and maintaining a sufficient inventory of personal tools needed to perform all job duties.</li>
<li>Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) required.</li>
<li>Proven ability to interact directly with customers in a professional and service-oriented manner.</li>
<li>Comfortable working independently on all makes, models, and types of diesel vehicles and repairs.</li>
<li>Physical ability to stand, bend, lift 50+ lbs., and work in varied weather and temperature conditions.</li>
