Civil Construction Project Manager – Newark, OH

Lead High-Impact Civil Construction Projects in Central Ohio
Layton Services is seeking an experienced and driven Civil Construction Project Manager to lead site development and infrastructure construction projects in Newark, OH and the surrounding Columbus metro area. This is a key leadership role where you'll oversee all phases of construction—from pre-construction planning to project close-out.
You’ll collaborate closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure successful delivery of civil, excavation, and utility infrastructure projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities – Civil Project Manager: 
<ul>
<li>
Manage overall project schedules and provide weekly updates
</li>
<li>
Coordinate and lead internal and external project meetings
</li>
<li>
Oversee full project lifecycle: planning, execution, and close-out
</li>
<li>
Handle procurement, material tracking, and vendor coordination
</li>
<li>
Maintain project documentation and track change orders
</li>
<li>
Manage project financials, including:
<ul>
<li>
AIA G702/G703 pay applications
</li>
<li>
Vendor invoicing and budget tracking
</li>
<li>
Value engineering and cost-saving initiatives
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
Ensure compliance with design specs, client expectations, and OSHA safety standards
</li>
</ul>
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
<ul>
<li>
4+ years of experience managing projects in civil construction, excavation, or infrastructure
</li>
<li>
Strong understanding of:
<ul>
<li>
Pay applications, change orders, and construction documentation
</li>
<li>
Civil site plans and utility drawings
</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
Excellent organizational and leadership skills
</li>
<li>
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
</li>
<li>
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
</li>
<li>
Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and job site safety
</li>
</ul>
Preferred (But Not Required):
<ul>
<li>
Experience with Procore, Sage, or HeavyJob
</li>
<li>
OSHA Certification
</li>
<li>
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
</li>
