ABOUT THE ROLE
This internship is for Summer 2026.
The Process Engineer Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands is responsible for learning and subsequently implementing the Cornerstone Production System methodology on multiple production lines and throughout different systems and processes. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, this role will be on-site in Marion, OH and will work closely with the operations team.
WHAT YOU’LL DO

<li>Designs the ability to produce a quality product into the process.</li>

<li>Identify and analyze manufacturing problems to control and improve manufacturing.</li>
<li>Develops all necessary process and audit documentation (i.e. Visual Work Instructions, Standard Work Combination Table, Process Control Adherence Audit, etc.)</li>
<li>Assesses existing processes for areas of improvement utilizing Lean Manufacturing concepts (Kaizen, TPM, Value Stream Mapping, etc.) Six Sigma, designed experiment techniques, capability studies, etc.</li>
<li>Designs and/or sources equipment for manufacturing processes; evaluates and recommends implementation of competitive technology.</li>
<li>Leads, where applicable, or works in conjunction with plant maintenance to ensure that the facility and equipment are maintained and updated consistent with short- and long-term goals and objectives.</li>
<li>Provides training, as required, to associates.</li>
<li>Leads, where applicable, or works in conjunction with Quality Assurance, to monitor and document quality standards.</li>
<li>Presents capstone project as directed at the conclusion of the internship program.</li>

Job DescriptionLocation: Dayton, OH Employment Type: 1st Shift, Full-time, direct hireJob Brief Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Stamping Press Machine Operator for our client. This involves operating mechanical or hydraulic presses, monitoring defects, performing quality checks, and ensuring ongoing machine maintenance and safety protocols are followed. Experience with tooling, different press types, and various metal tube cutting processes is essential for these roles.What’s a Typical Day Like?
<ul>
<li>Install and align dies and other necessary tooling into the press. </li>
<li>Operate various types of stamping presses (e.g., mechanical, hydraulic) to produce components such as those that are trimmed, punched, or drawn. </li>
<li>Set up and adjust press settings, including stroke length and feed mechanisms, for proper part formation. </li>
<li>Monitor the machine during operation to detect any misalignment or malfunctions and ensure parts meet quality standards. </li>
<li>Troubleshoot issues that arise during the production process to maintain efficiency and quality. </li>
<li>Perform routine maintenance on the press and associated tooling. </li>
<li>Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.</li>

What Are the Requirements of the Job?
<ul>
<li>Familiarity with different types of stamping presses, such as mechanical, hydraulic, progressive, and transfer. </li>
<li>Experience with installing, setting up, and maintaining dies and tooling. </li>
<li>Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work orders to produce accurate parts. </li>
<li>A strong understanding of quality control principles. </li>
<li>Ability to identify and resolve operational issues. </li>
<li>Brehm or Havens Tube Cutting a big plus</li>
