This role will require you to work as part of small multi-disciplinary technical teams on sustained release injectable drug development projects and you will have direct input on solving complex problems and contributing to project success. Essential job functions include:
<ul>
<li>Formulate batches in a laboratory and pilot plant setting, using complex manufacturing processes to design and improve microsphere products</li>
<li>Develop and optimize new innovative processes and technologies for use in formulation development and manufacturing</li>
<li>Present analyses and recommendations in product development team meetings</li>
<li>Collaborate with team members from multiple departments within the company and with external clients to achieve project and company goals</li>
<li>Work in an FDA-regulated environment and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)</li>
</ul>
Attributes required include:
<ul>
<li>Bachelor of Science, Masters, or PhD Degree in Biomedical or Chemical Engineering or closely related science field with chemistry and mathematics in coursework</li>
<li>Basic lab skill obtained from college science labs, internships, or through one year of industry experience</li>
<li>Desire to learn and grow within a team-oriented environment</li>
<li>Good documentation and written and oral communication skills</li>
<li>Time management skills, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently to meet company deadlines</li>
