Boiler Field Service Technician – Domestic & International (Heavy Travel)

Full-Time | 75–90% Travel | OT Available | Per Diem | Company Card Provided

Are you a self-starting, hands-on technician who thrives on the road and loves solving complex mechanical, electrical, and controls challenges? We’re hiring an experienced Boiler Field Service Technician to join a fast-growing team supporting industrial clients across the U.S. and around the world.

This role offers variety, autonomy, extensive travel, and the chance to work on high-performance steam generators, thermal fluid heaters, and industrial combustion systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform installations, commissioning, and start-ups of industrial boiler and steam-generating equipment
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and controls issues at customer sites
  • Work with PLC/HMI systems (connect, navigate, and troubleshoot—not write code)
  • Conduct combustion testing and tune burners using analyzers and meters
  • Provide remote technical support when not traveling
  • Complete field service reports, documentation, and communicate findings clearly
  • Lead onsite activities and interact professionally with customers and contractors
  • Travel across the U.S. and internationally (some trips a few days, some multiple weeks)

What We’re Looking For

  • Boiler or burner experience strongly preferred
  • 3+ years in field service, industrial maintenance, or related technical roles
  • Strong electrical & mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and piping diagrams
  • Comfort with PLC/HMI interfaces (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, RS Logix, etc.)
  • Experience using hand tools, test meters, and combustion analyzers
  • Self-motivated, professional, and able to work independently on customer sites
  • Valid passport or ability to obtain one (international travel required)
  • OSHA 10/30, TWIC, or related certifications are a plus

Travel Expectations

  • 75–90% travel
  • Combination of air and driving, depending on location
  • Domestic + international work
  • Trips may range from 2 days to 3+ weeks depending on customer needs
