Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1+ year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A healthcare professional trained to assist during invasive cardiovascular procedures is needed to support diagnostic and therapeutic interventions in a cardiac catheterization lab setting. This role involves working under supervision while gaining clinical experience with cardiovascular catheterization and electrophysiology procedures. The candidate will collaborate with cardiologists and electrophysiologists to ensure safe, efficient patient care.
Location: Situated in Napoleon, Ohio, this position offers the unique experience of working in a community-oriented healthcare environment known for its welcoming atmosphere and close-knit feel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist physicians during cardiovascular cath and EP procedures in scrub, monitor, or circulating roles while training on specialized equipment
- Maintain sterile technique and follow strict patient verification protocols to ensure safety and compliance
- Prepare patients for procedures and provide education on procedural and post-procedure care under supervision
- Support departmental operations including accurate documentation, supply management, and adherence to regulatory standards
- Participate in on-call rotations, including some weekends and holidays, with flexibility to meet departmental needs
- Collaborate effectively with team members to optimize patient care outcomes
Qualifications and Experience:
- GED, Associate, or Bachelors degree in Health Science, or equivalent work experience such as LPN, RT, EMT/Paramedic
- Graduate of a Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) program preferred
- Basic knowledge of cardiovascular cath or electrophysiology procedures and patient care is essential
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications required on hire; Registered CVI Specialist preferred
- Minimum one year of experience in a medical setting; Cath Lab experience strongly preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive working relationships
Schedule:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week with rotating call responsibilities including weekends and holidays as required
