Miss A Stores is currently seeking fun, motivated, and reliable Retail Sales Associates to join our newest store located in the Southpark Mall in Strongsville! As a Sales Associate, you will be the first point of contact for all our customers. This candidate will provide friendly and knowledgeable service, in addition to upholding the positive culture we cultivate within our stores.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon entering the store, providing a friendly and welcoming shopping experience.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers on the sales floor, answering questions, making product recommendations, and educating customers on current promotions and bestsellers.
- Support daily retail sales operations, including offering shopping baskets, maintaining product availability, and ensuring a positive customer experience from entry to checkout.
- Accurately operate the POS system/register, handle cash and card transactions, and engage with customers to ensure satisfaction at checkout.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing sales floor, including merchandising, restocking products, recovery, and store put-backs.
- Stay knowledgeable on all products, promotions, and sales policies, including product limits, to confidently assist customers and drive sales.
- Follow company standards for store appearance, customer engagement, and loss prevention.
Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years of age.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service or retail experience preferred.
- Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the SouthPark Mall location.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred (or currently enrolled).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, outgoing attitude.
- Ability to work independently while also taking direction, coaching, and feedback from management.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands described below are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time throughout scheduled shifts.
- Ability to perform repetitive movements, including bending, reaching, and walking on a regular basis.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced retail environment, including exposure to moderate noise levels and frequent customer interaction.
