Job Title: Tool and Die Machinist
$22/hr to $31/hr
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Tool & Die Maker-Operator to join our manufacturing team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining precision tools, dies, and molds to support our production operations. This role includes interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, operating CNC equipment, and ensuring the proper function and quality output of dies. The position is based in Orrville, OH, with work hours from Sunday-Tuesday 4pm-4am and Wednesday 4pm-10pm, totaling 46 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, repair, operate, and maintain precision tools, dies, and molds used in manufacturing operations.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs to construct or modify dies.
- Operate machines such as lathes, mills, grinders, and similar CNC equipment.
- Assemble and test dies to ensure proper function and output quality.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on existing dies.
- Troubleshoot die performance issues during production runs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with safety and quality standards.
Essential Skills
- Background in tool and die operation and machine operation.
- Experience with press or rolling mills.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and CAD/CAM designs.
- Strong machining and tooling skills.
- Ability to read a tape measure and adhere to safety protocols.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 6+ months of heavy manufacturing experience required.
- Preference for candidates with at least 6 months of machine operation experience.
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs throughout the shift.

Work Environment
The position involves heavy manufacturing and is labor-intensive, requiring work in an environment that is hot during summer and cold during winter. It is not temperature-controlled, and areas with induction furnaces can be particularly hot. Employees must wear steel-toed boots and safety glasses.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.77 - $31.15/hr.
