Job Details
Responsibilities
As an Estimator, you will be responsible for:
1. Developing comprehensive, detailed, and well-organized estimates and proposals in response to RFI and RFP's.
2. Analyzing and comprehending project plans, requirements, and specifications.
3. Managing the bid process and strategy, including reviewing and evaluating bid documents, estimating the cost of projects, and preparing bid packages.
4. Collaborating with project management teams to track and analyze project costs, manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
5. Building and maintaining relationships with key vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.
6. Utilizing your knowledge of drywall to accurately estimate project costs.
7. Performing risk and contract management responsibilities as required.
8. Providing detailed reports to the project team and management on project financials, implementation progress, and risk analysis.
Qualifications
To be considered for the Estimator role, you must have:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an estimator in the Construction industry.
2. Proven experience with the bid process, big packages, cost estimation, project management, RFI process, and drywall.
3. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4. Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities.
5. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
6. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in your work.
7. Proficiency in relevant software programs, including cost estimation and project management software.
8. The ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
9. The capacity to work independently, as well as part of a team.
