Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Partner to join our law firm, specializing in Corporate Law. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in providing legal counsel on complex corporate matters, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and facilitating various transactions. This role is essential for driving our corporate practice forward and offering strategic advice to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage corporate law cases and transactions for clients.
- Provide expert legal advice on corporate governance, entity formation, and compliance issues.
- Advise clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts and agreements.
- Support clients in succession planning and issues related to closely held businesses.
- Conduct due diligence for corporate transactions and financing arrangements.
- Collaborate with clients to develop strategic plans for their business growth and legal needs.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on transactional law.
- Strong understanding of mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate governance etc.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex legal projects and client relationships.
- Membership in the OH state bar association
