- Diagnose and repair a variety of vehicle makes and models, including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, and more.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections.
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify issues and recommend solutions.
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers about the vehicle’s condition and repair needs.
- Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on each job.
- Follow safety protocols and keep the work area clean and organized.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians, if applicable.
Requirements:
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an automotive technician program or apprenticeship is preferred.
- ASE Certification (Automotive Service Excellence) is preferred or the ability to obtain certification within a specified period.
- Proven experience as an automotive technician or mechanic (minimum of 2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repair techniques.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in a fast-paced environment.
