Assistant Infant & Toddler Teacher (Full-Time)

Northwood, Ohio
$13$18/hour (based on experience and responsibilities)

Imaginative Beginnings- Northwood is seeking a full-time Assistant Infant & Toddler Teacher to support our early childhood classrooms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, wants hands-on experience in childcare, and is open to learning and growing in the field of early childhood education.

Most positions follow a consistent daytime schedule (ex: 8:00am5:00pm) within our center hours of 5:30am5:30pm.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Teacher, you will:

• Support the Lead Teacher in daily classroom activities
  
  
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment
  
  
• Assist with lesson activities, transitions, meals, and routines
  
  
• Supervise children during play and learning activities
  
  
• Communicate respectfully with families and team members
  
  
• Help maintain daily classroom documentation
  
  
• Follow all state licensing and center policies
  
  

Qualifications

Required:

• At least 18 years of age
  
  
• High school diploma or equivalent
  
  
• Willingness to complete required trainings (CPR, First Aid, AED, Child Abuse Prevention)
  
  

Preferred (not required):

• Previous childcare or early childhood experience
  
  
• Interest in early childhood education or child development
  
  
• Dependable, patient, and team-oriented\
• CDA (Child Development Associate)

No formal experience required we will train the right candidate.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs
  
  
• Ability to actively supervise children throughout the day
