Paralegal - Bankruptcy Part-Time, Remote (40 hours/month)
We are seeking an experienced Bankruptcy Paralegal to support our busy practice, dedicated to building long-term client partnerships through exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in all aspects of bankruptcy law and be available to work during Central Time Zone hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file bankruptcy petitions with a focus on accuracy and compliance;
- Manage client communications independently;
- Collaborate with the legal team to ensure a seamless client experience.
Experience and Hard Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working specifically in bankruptcy law (Required);
- Proven experience in preparing and filing bankruptcy petitions, beyond just drafting (Required).
Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills;
- Proactive critical thinker who can adapt to shifting priorities;
- A team player who takes ownership of their responsibilities and consistently meets deadlines.
Technology Requirements:
- PC (Required);
- Microsoft Office installed or a subscription to MS Office 365 (Required);
- Minimum of 8 GB RAM (Required);
- Experience with NextChapter and Best Case software (Required);
- Smokeball experience is (Strongly preferred).
