Job Description
About Us
Like the food industry but not the hours? Join a fast growing food manufacturing company with regular business hours. No late nights or weekends! We’re a fast-growing small business with big ambitions. Our team thrives on collaboration, hustle, and passion for creating products we’re proud to share with the world. We’re looking for a Production Coordinator who’s ready to get hands-on in the kitchen and warehouse — making our main product, keeping operations smooth, and leading with a “team-first” mentality.
The Role
The Head of Production is a hands-on operator who is directly responsible for manufacturing our core product in-house. This role blends production work with leadership: you’ll be mixing and preparing batches, organizing shipments and pallets, operating forklifts, and ensuring the production floor and warehouse are safe, efficient, and well-organized. You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Manager and Assistant to coordinate workflow, delegate tasks, and keep production moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Product Manufacturing: Lead the daily making of our main product according to recipes, quality standards, and schedules.
- Recipe Development: Test and Tweak new and existing products in our test kitchen.
- Warehouse Operations: Operate forklift, organize warehouse layout, and oversee storage of raw ingredients and finished goods.
- Inventory Management: Track raw materials, restock supplies, and maintain accurate records.
- Team Collaboration: Work with the Warehouse Manager to plan workflow and delegate tasks to the Warehouse Assistant and employees.
- Efficiency & Quality Control: Ensure production processes run smoothly and product quality is consistent.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot issues with equipment, ingredients, or workflow to keep production on schedule.
- Cleanliness & Safety: Keep the production floor, equipment, and workspace clean, safe, and in working order and in regulation to Ohio’s laws.
- Shipping: Prepare pallets for shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, as well as unloading deliveries with pallet jack.
Requirements
- Experience in production, food manufacturing, or warehouse operations. Culinary skills encouraged.
- Ability to operate a forklift (certification preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Physically able to lift 50 lbs+ regularly and stand for long periods.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-sufficient and proactive, with a knack for troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills; able to give clear direction and work collaboratively.
- Excited to be part of a fast-paced, growing business.
Why Join Us?
- Be at the heart of production in a growing company.
- Work directly with leadership to shape processes and systems.
- Join a collaborative, hardworking team where your contributions matter.
