Job Description

Job DescriptionBuild safer, smarter, faster production

If you believe great factories are designed on purpose—not by accident—this role is your canvas. You’ll turn bottlenecks into flow, downtime into uptime, and ideas into standard work that sticks.

Your mission

  • Design and refine methods, tooling, and techniques to shrink setup and changeover while reducing operator effort.
  • Target bottleneck cells with cycle-time reduction strategies to unlock throughput.
  • Diagnose machining issues and debug PLC logic across Siemens and Allen‑Bradley platforms.
  • Upgrade manufacturing processes to improve safety, quality, cost, and support design changes.
  • Own financial levers: create budgets, schedule spend, and manage project costs.
  • Shepherd capital projects from specification and runoff through installation and contractor oversight.
  • Maintain precise equipment documentation and production layout drawings.
  • Engineer corrective actions that prevent recurring equipment/process failures.
  • Level up the team via focused training that closes skill gaps.
  • Coordinate TPM/PM plus proactive and predictive maintenance to maximize uptime.
  • Co-own PFMEA, control plans, and process flows with the Quality Engineer.
  • Enable the shop floor with practical problem-solving and clear standard work instructions.
  • Lead external contractors to deliver process and equipment improvements.
  • Collaborate from the operator level to leadership to elevate machinery and processes.
  • Lead Kaizen activities and capture documented results for sustainment.
  • Work with an understanding of key environmental aspects and operational controls.

What you’ve masteredCore

  • 2+ years in high-volume machining, assembly, and automation environments.
  • Hands-on Lean Enterprise practice.

Preferred

  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal strengths.
  • B.S. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel; familiarity with MfgPro and Kronos.

Why this team

  • Work for a market leader with meaningful growth ahead.
  • Shape innovative projects from concept to launch.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits within a financially sound company.
  • Build a durable career where commitment and development are celebrated.

Proficiencies

  • PLC troubleshooting (Siemens & Allen‑Bradley)
  • Engineering degree knowledge base
  • Manufacturing environment experience
  • Process development and optimization
  • Baseline computer proficiency
