Job Details:

• Work Monday through Friday schedule
\n• Call required one weekend per contract from Friday 1600 to Monday 0700
\n• Work in 3-room, 8-bed interventional radiology unit with average daily census of 25
\n• Treat adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
\n• Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, Ohio state license
\n• Epic charting system required
\n• Minimum 1 year of experience required
\n• Unit accepts first-time travelers
\n• Scrubs provided
\n• 16 hours of orientation required
\n• Perform abdominal and pelvic procedures including chest tube placement, embolization, IVC filter placement and removal, stent placement, and thoracentesis
\n• Conduct genitourinary studies including catheter/drain exchange, embolization, and internal/external biliary drainage
\n• Perform vascular procedures including TIPS and central venous access/port placement
\n• Operate fluoroscopy equipment and maintain PACS system
\n• Responsible for equipment setup, prep access site, and maintaining sterile field
\n• Must demonstrate competency in isolation precautions and rapid response/code protocols
\n• Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards
\n• Two references from within the last 24 months required
\n• Floating to other units and facilities is expected for all travelers

This major medical center operates a comprehensive interventional radiology department with state-of-the-art equipment and technology. The facility provides 24/7 coverage with intensivists, nurse practitioners, CRNAs, hospitalists, and anesthesiologists on-site. The healthcare system offers extensive support services including interpretation services, lift teams, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, respiratory services, social services, transportation, and unit secretaries to ensure optimal patient care and staff support.
