- End Date: April 6, 2026\n
- Shift: Day shifts, 4x12-hour (07:00 - 19:30)\n
- Hours per Week: 36 or 48 hours (OT paid after 48 hours for 48-hour contracts)\n
- Employment Type: Travel nursing job\n
- Patient Ratios: Targeted 1:4, may be up to 1:5-6\n
- Weekend/Holiday Coverage: Required (every other weekend/holiday)\n
\n\nRegistered Nurse Qualifications\n
- \n
- Minimum 1.5 years of recent Cardiac Stepdown or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) RN experience\n
- Experience with 1:5 patient ratios in stepdown/PCU settings\n
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (any state; compact nursing licenses accepted)\n
- BLS and ACLS certifications required\n
- Must pass online EKG telemetry competency assessment prior to start\n
- Ventilator experience required\n
- EPIC charting experience preferred\n
- Trauma Level I experience preferred\n
- Travel nursing experience preferred\n
- Ability to float to other campuses as needed\n
- Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions accepted)\n
\n\nCardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities\n
- \n
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiac and pulmonary conditions (COPD, CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, post-COVID, DKA)\n
- Collaborate in a team nursing model with another RN and a Patient Care Technician\n
- Manage ventilated patients, tracheostomies, bipap/high-flow oxygen, cardiac drips (no titration), insulin drips, and heparin protocols\n
- Interpret and monitor cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias\n
- Perform wound care, central line and PICC management, chest tube care, and advanced nursing procedures\n
- Float to other units/campuses as assigned, supporting the healthcare team\n
- Utilize EPIC for clinical documentation and charting\n
- Participate in orientation and complete required modules\n
