Job Opening: Metal Finisher & Assembly Support
Location: Express Employment of Lakewood
Type: Full-Time
Industry: Manufacturing / Fabrication
Shift: Day Shift (8 hours/day)
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, mechanically inclined individual to join our team as a Metal Finisher & Assembly Support. This hands-on role involves using a handheld grinder to smooth and finish stainless steel sheet metal (7 gauge to 20 gauge) after welding and fabrication. The goal is to prepare products for painting and enhance their overall appearance. You’ll also assist with assembly and general manufacturing tasks as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate handheld grinders to produce smooth, even surfaces and finished edges
- Sand and finish stainless steel sheet metal without damaging or creating inconsistent finishes
- Assist with product assembly and learn various workstations across the shop
- Perform general labor tasks including lifting, bending, crouching, reaching, and climbing ladders
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Use hand tools, power tools, pallet jacks, and ladders as needed
- Forklift operation is a plus

- Experience with handheld grinding, sanding, and metal finishing
- Familiarity with manufacturing assembly and working with sheet metal
- Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
- Flexible, adaptable, and eager to learn new skills
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Team-oriented attitude with good communication skills
- Mechanically inclined and detail-oriented
- Forklift certification is a bonus
