As an Analytical Scientist 1, you will conduct analytical methods for routine testing of raw materials, release, and stability samples. Your role will also include participating in the validation of analytical test methods, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance are met.
Responsibilities
- Prepare analytical reagents and solutions following analytical test methods.
- Operate automated glass washing equipment and maintain glassware stock in laboratories.
- Dispose of laboratory waste routinely in accordance with SOP and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine chemical and physical testing of pharmaceutical raw materials, finished products, and stability samples using internally developed and compendial test methods.
- Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation as required.
- Clearly and accurately communicate results by creating documentation of testing/analysis and obtained results.
- Record and report analysis results in accordance with prescribed lab procedures and systems.
- Maintain and organize work area, instrumentation, and testing materials.
- Perform all duties in strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Laboratory Practices, and Safety guidelines.

- Ability to apply mathematical operations to tasks such as determination of test reliability, analysis of variance, and correlation techniques.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of software including Microsoft Outlook for email.
- Experience performing chemical or physical tests with chromatographic, spectroscopic, or other analytical techniques preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High School Diploma minimum educational requirement.
Work Environment
The work environment includes ordinary ambulatory skills and physical coordination sufficient to move about office locations. You will need the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and crouch periodically for prolonged periods. You must be able to manipulate light to medium weights of 10-35 pounds and have the dexterity to grasp and type for prolonged periods. Visual acuity is required to use a keyboard, computer monitor, operate equipment, and read materials. Safety glasses, safety shoes, lab coat, latex or similar gloves, safety apron, and organic respirator may be occasionally required. This is a Contract position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
