Occupational Therapist – School Setting – Part-Time (Geauga County)

Position Summary:
As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality occupational therapy services within an educational setting. You will be responsible for evaluating children across different grade levels, planning interventions, and developing instructional plans tailored to meet their specific functional and educational needs.
General Information
- Hours: Part-Time positions available within school hours (~8am – 4pm)
- Pay Range: $30-$50 per hour
- School District: Chardon Schools (Some supervision in Youngstown ~4-8 hours per week)
- Working Days or Days per week: ~3 days per week – 24-30 hours per week
- Hours per day: 7-8 hours per day
Responsibilities include:
- Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload
- Work together with and provide supervision to COTAs
- Conduct assessments and support IEP development
- Collaborate with educators, families, and OTAs
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to support student success
- Documentation and data collection of ongoing therapy
- Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures
Qualifications include:
- Current licensure within the state of Ohio to practice Occupational Therapy
- Strong Assessment and intervention planning skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- Passion for working with children and helping them overcome developmental, education and motor challenges
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Preferred Qualifications
- Ohio Department of Education Certification
- Experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a school or educational setting
