The Blank Press Operator is a key contributor to our team. You will operate high-powered presses to cut precise labels while ensuring quality control, maintaining equipment, and contributing to efficient production. The unique thing about running a blank press is that you can produce finished rolls right at your press.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reading work orders for setup specifications and instructions.
- Loading and unloading materials safely and efficiently.
- Ensuring labels are not lifting from your die cut.
- Being able to adjust your press as needed to correct quality and production issues.
- Monitoring your presses unwind and upper rewind tensions throughout every job.
- Locating job jackets based on job numbers. Retrieving the correct jacket and verifying the job number matches the corresponding production schedule to ensure accurate selection.
- Maintaining equipment in a safe, operating condition.
- Participating in training and supporting other team members.
- Complying with company policies, safety procedures, and core processes.
- Maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
- Collaborating with other departments for projects and validations.
- Embracing LEAN Principles for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 2 years of experience in the industry preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand for 8 hours.
- Basic math and intermediate computer skills. Ability to read a ruler or measuring tape.
- Team mentality with a drive for success and results
- This role requires the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- The production floor is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work on your feet and keep up with production demands.
- The Blank Press Operator is a physically demanding role that requires standing for long periods, walking, lifting, and bending.

Job Type: Full-time – in person – 8-hour shift
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
