We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Operations to lead and optimize our warehousing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse management, including logistics, inventory control, safety, workforce leadership, and process improvement. This role requires a results-oriented leader with a strong operational background, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven track record of managing high-performing teams in fast-paced warehousing environments.
Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution

Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives.

Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and cost-efficiency.

Collaborate with executive leadership to forecast resource needs and growth plans.

Warehouse Operations Management

Oversee day-to-day warehousing functions including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations (OSHA, etc.).

Optimize warehouse layout and space utilization to maximize efficiency.

Team Leadership & Development
-
Manage and mentor warehouse managers and operational staff.

Create and maintain a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous learning.

Implement training programs to ensure workforce skill alignment and safety.

Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination

Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely delivery and inventory accuracy.

Develop relationships with transportation providers and third-party logistics partners.

Monitor inventory levels and ensure alignment with demand forecasting.

Process Improvement & Technology
-
Evaluate and upgrade warehouse technologies, including WMS and automation tools.

Lead process optimization initiatives to improve operational workflow.

Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and streamline operations.

Budgeting & Financial Oversight

Develop and manage departmental budgets and cost controls.

Identify opportunities to reduce operational expenses without compromising quality or service.

Report performance metrics and operational KPIs to executive leadership.

Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field (Master’s preferred).

8+ years of progressively responsible experience in warehousing, logistics, or operations management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.

Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP platforms, and lean operational practices.

Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.

Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Experience with automation and modern warehouse technology a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:

This position may require occasional travel to warehouse sites.

Must be comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying conditions.

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods, if needed for site visits.
