PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Design, develop, test, implement, document, improve and maintain new and existing corporate applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Development, testing and deployment of new applications, systems software, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure that development projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Maintains and documents applications, database schemas and libraries used during development.
- Research and make recommendations on software products, database products and services in support of procurement and development efforts.
- Follow existing database architectures, coding standards, best practices, and quality assurance policies and procedures.
- Ability to create robust technical documentation for applications and software that is developed.
- Assist in administration of Corporate SQL servers and associated databases.
- Understand and follow applicable best practices.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Associates or Bachelor’s technical degree in computer science (or) equivalent work experience of at least four (4) years.
- Proven experience as a full stack developer or similar role.
- Knowledge of front-end ecosystem (e.g. HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and libraries (e.g. React and/or Angular, Sass, jQuery).
- Experience working with PHP and popular frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Symfony).
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and MS SQL.
- Experience with unit and functional testing a plus.
- Experience with web servers such as Apache and Nginx.
- Experience working with Docker a plus.
- Ability to use versioning systems such as GIT.
- The ability to use RHEL, CentOS, Fedora or other Linux distributions is a plus.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, with occasional overnight or out-of-area trips as needed.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Seated during working hours.
- This job operates in a manufacturing and office environment.
- Full time at 40 hours per week.
- Monday through Friday during normal business hours.
- In-house position located in Upper Sandusky, Ohio.
TRAVEL
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
