Job DescriptionMBS is hiring an AWS Cloud Engineer III in Cincinnati, OH. This position is full-time, temp to hire opportunity.FULL JOB DESCRIPTIONPRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain modular AI services on AWS using Lambda, SageMaker, Bedrock, S3, and related components—built for scale, governance, and cost-efficiency.
  • Contribute to the end-to-end development of RAG pipelines that connect internal datasets (e.g., logs, S3 docs, structured records) to inference endpoints using vector embeddings.
  • Fine-tune LLM-based applications, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) using LangChain and other frameworks.
  • Tune retrieval performance using semantic search techniques, proper metadata handling, and prompt injection patterns.
  • Work within the software release lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, GitHub-based SDLC, and infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  • Support the development and evolution of reusable platform components for AI/ML operations.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the team to reference and share with our internal customers.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 7–10 years of software engineering experience with expertise in Python and GoLang.
  • Deep knowledge of document tokenization, embeddings, and NLP models (Word2Vec, BERT, GPT, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience building RAG, semantic search, and LLM-powered applications using tools like LangChain, PyTorch, and TensorFlow.
  • Strong experience with AWS (Bedrock, SageMaker, ECS, Lambda) and ML model deployment.
  • Skilled in managing AWS orgs and policy guardrails (SCP, AWS Config).
  • Proficient in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code best practices.
  • Strong Git-based version control, CI/CD, and DevOps pipeline experience.
  • Background in Policy as Code (Terraform Sentinel) and AI system cost optimization (FinOps).
  • Data science expertise with both structured and unstructured data; privacy and compliance aware.
  • Experience with Node.js; familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • AWS or related cloud certifications preferred; advanced training a plus
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
  • Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
  • Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
