Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for our client. This job is responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical facilities and plant structures, diagnosing and rebuilding complex machinery, and installing or troubleshooting electrical/mechanical equipment including PLCs and instrumentation. You’ll handle building repairs, support technicians as needed, and ensure reliable operation of pumps, boilers, HVAC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related systems.What’s a Typical Day Like?
- Maintains and repairs all mechanical facilities and physical structures throughout the plant including pumps, boilers, air, water, reactor
- Uses hand and power tools in performing tasks
- Diagnoses problems, tears down, repairs and re-assembles intricate mechanisms and machines
- Installs, adjusts tests, troubleshoots, repairs, and modifies various electrical/mechanical equipment, electrical controls, PLC’s and instrumentation.
- Performs repairs on buildings, roofs, structures and furniture
- Assists technicians and performs other duties as assigned
What Are the Requirements of the Job?
- HS Diploma or GED required, additional education/certifications preferred
- Must be available for possible mandatory overtime and weekend work
- Must be able to pass pre-employment background check, drug screen, and physical
- Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
- Must have work experience in the following areas and be able to take a test demonstrating proficiency in Arc welding, Mig welding. TIG welding, Stick welding, PLCs, Electric, VFDs, HVAC, Pumps, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Gearboxes
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to move or lift up to 50+ lbs.
- Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
- Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
- Capability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Communication skills.
