The Foundry Supervisor oversees daily operations within the ingot casting area of the foundry. This role ensures production targets are met safely, efficiently, and with high quality. The supervisor leads a team of foundry workers, coordinates workflow, enforces safety standards, and maintains equipment and materials to support continuous production.
Schedule:
The schedule for this role is an alternating two-week schedule. Each shift is from 6:30PM-7AM.
Week 1: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Oversight:

- Supervise melting, pouring, molding, and finishing operations.
- Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of casting jobs.
- Maintain quality control standards.
- Team Leadership:

- Direct and support foundry workers, including training, scheduling, and performance management.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Safety & Compliance:
-
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and lead incident investigations when necessary.
- Quality Control:

- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with lab and quality teams to ensure material is "in-spec"
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification or associate degree preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in foundry operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of brass alloys and casting processes.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and industrial hygiene practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to high temperatures, molten metal, dust, and noise.
- Requires wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
