Job DescriptionA busy West Akron company is seeking an experienced Mechanic for Production Line Set up.

2nd shift 3p-1a Monday-Thursday
Pay is $17/hr with increase once hired in.
Job Summary:
The Production Line Set Up Technician is responsible for preparing, adjusting, and configuring production lines to ensure efficient, safe, and accurate manufacturing operations. This role supports production by setting up equipment, tooling, materials, and workstations according to production schedules and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up production lines, machines, tooling, and equipment prior to production runsLoad materials, components, and supplies according to work orders.
Adjust machine settings to meet product specifications and production requirements.
Perform changeovers between product runs efficiently to minimize downtime.
Conduct start-up checks to ensure equipment is operating safely and correctly.
Troubleshoot basic mechanical or operational issues during set .
Follow all safety, quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
Communicate with supervisors and operators regarding set up requirements and issues.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaAssist production team as needed during active runs.
Job Requirements:
Previous experience in manufacturing, production, or line set up preferred.
Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
Ability to read and follow work orders, diagrams, and production schedules.
Strong attention to detail and quality.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts.
Willingness to follow safety procedures and company policies.
